Vocational training

The vocational training market is a relatively small one, with a total spend of about R128 million. Unfortunately, it's not growing, with zero year-on-year growth, which might make it a challenging space to enter. It's also a very crowded market, with only one supplier currently serving one department, which means there's not a lot of room for new players. The Department of Labour or Education might be the key department to target, and it's worth noting that about 30% of the allocation favours black-owned businesses. If I were you, I'd focus on building a strong black economic empowerment programme to increase your chances of securing a contract in this space.
